Baton of Life 2013 charity run

In June 2013, a team of six from Lodestar ran (for the most part) the 5km around the Serpentine in Hyde Park for the Little Havens Hospice ‘Baton of Life’. The weather was decidedly better than last year, although a light refreshing rain shower would have been nice, the sun beamed down on not only the many participating runners, but also the countless sunbathers enjoying the rays.
We have so far raised £370 for the Little Havens Hospice, who provide respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care to youngsters not expected to reach adulthood because of a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. Their specialist care is free but they have to raise £100,000 every week to be there for everyone who needs them.
We would like to thank the Pro/Tawa Charity Committee for their contribution.  Our charity page is still active, so if you would like to support the hard work that the Little Havens Hospice continue to do, please donate here -
